A Normal Day Begins

We start by praying for the Prophet and saying "In the name of God."
Our movie begins with Lenny, who is covering news about animals.
We find out, dear viewer, that she has dedicated her entire life to her job as a reporter and is in love with a football player named Cal.
Soon after, she heads to the gym where she meets her friend Andrea.
They watch Deborah’s show, and Andrea says that Deborah is super professional because she always makes her guests cry.
At night, Lenny goes out with her boyfriend.
The next morning, she heads to work, and after finishing her episode, Dennis calls her.
He tells her that the AMUS channel is looking for new faces, and the surprise is—Dennis already sent her CV.
When Lenny finds out, she can’t believe it because she thought...

The Surprise Opportunity and a Ghost from the Past

...Dennis was going to suggest her friend Andrea instead.
He tells her to step up her game and adds that she needs to work with Pete again because he's the only one who can make someone look natural on camera.
As soon as Lenny hears Pete’s name, she says, “Ever never lever, forget it!”
But Dennis insists—it’s either Pete or forget about fame, Hollywood, and everything else.
Lenny has no choice but to accept.
When she sees Pete, she gives him the cold shoulder and tells him they should keep it strictly professional—just hi and bye.
Turns out, dear viewer, they used to date.
Pete says he knows she’s being considered for a position at AMUS and that he also knows she lives her life by the book.

Tension Between Exes

She leaves him talking to himself and goes to finish her episode.
The two are like roosters around each other.
Right as Lenny starts the show, Pete messes with her mic, making her sound like a little kid on a YouTube channel.
Lenny gets annoyed and walks out.
Both head to Dennis, and Lenny complains about Pete.
Dennis tries to calm them down, tells them to stop acting like kids, and leaves them to chat and hopefully clear the air.
Lenny tells Pete her life is perfect: great job, awesome friends, a fit body, stylish clothes.
But Pete almost explodes; he thinks she’s arrogant and her nose is so high it’s touching the 30th floor.

---

Girl Talk and a Prophecy

At night, Lenny goes out with Andrea and congratulates her on the new job.
They spend the evening gossiping about Pete.
One says he’s cute, the other says he’s so annoying.
After ripping him apart, they go home.
The next morning, Lenny heads to work.
Meanwhile, Jack is on the street lost in his imagination, claiming there’s going to be a car crash today involving three vehicles, and a week of continuous unrest.
Pete walks up, recognizes Jack, and greets him warmly.
Lenny watches from a distance, confused by Pete’s friendship with this strange man.
When Pete approaches, he tells Lenny to go take blessings from Jack—he’s our lucky charm, most of what he says actually happens.

---

The Chilling Prediction

Even though Lenny doesn’t believe in this stuff, she thinks it couldn’t hurt.
She walks up to Jack, tells him she’s up for a big job, and asks if he has any good news.
The disaster comes when Jack tells her she’s not going to get the job.
She’s about to ask if he’s crazy when Pete says they’re ready to shoot.
She takes advantage and introduces Jack as “the street prophet who can sense events before they happen.”
Jack introduces himself and says he feels things before they occur.
Of course, Lenny mocks him and asks, “Okay, tonight’s game between Seattle and the Hawks, who’s gonna win?”
He says, “The Hawks by 19 to 13.”
She’s like, “Seriously? That’s nonsense.”

---

The Shock Grows Deeper

She asks him what else he’s got.
He tells her it’s going to snow tomorrow morning, even though the forecast says it’ll be perfect weather.
Then he hits her with the biggest shock: “You’re going to die next Thursday.”
She’s so shaken she thinks Pete paid him to scare her.
She runs to confront Pete, then heads to meet Andrea.
Still angry from what Jack said, she’s shocked again when the game starts and, until the last second, it looks like Jack was wrong.
But then—bam—the result is exactly what Jack predicted.
She’s stunned, eyes wide, completely speechless, and goes home early from the shock.
The next morning, the surprise continues...

---

Reality Hits

She wakes up to the sound of snow falling.
She tells herself, “Let me stay quiet and figure out what the hell is up with this Jack guy.”
In no time, she goes to get full medical checkups to make sure everything’s okay.
The doctor tells her she’s perfectly healthy.
Then she goes back to work and asks Pete if he told Jack to say those things.
Pete says, “I didn’t. Sure, I don’t like you, but I’d never do something like that. I don’t even know why he said it.”
He adds, “If I were you and had only one week left, I’d live my life to the fullest and fix my mistakes.”
He then tells her not to worry—Jack’s just a poor guy who lives on the street.
The worst he can do is predict weather and sports scores.

---

A Family Visit and Sleepless Night

That night, Lenny visits her dad and stepsister Gwen for her birthday.
She looks at old childhood photos.
It’s been a long time since she saw them.
When her dad tells her to have a slice of cake, she refuses.
Of course, for Lenny, that’s non-negotiable—she’s on a strict diet.
Gwen tells him not to bother, she lives by the rulebook.
After the visit, Lenny heads home but she’s anxious and can’t sleep.
She calls her boyfriend to check on him and asks what he’d do if he knew she’d die in a week.
But the guy’s half-asleep and not even paying attention.
He tells her it’s too late and he has to wake up early, then hangs up.

---

Back to Jack

Lenny can’t sleep, so she decides to go find Jack.
She’s scared because the place is creepy.
When she sees Jack, all she can think about is what he said.
She tells him she’s willing to pay more than Pete if he just admits it was a joke and he’s in on it with Pete.
But Jack shocks her again—he says no one paid him, and what he told her is what he saw.
She tries every angle to get him to change his story, but he insists his gut feeling never lies.
So she gives him money for another “reading.”
As soon as he starts his act, he says, “Tomorrow, there’s going to be an earthquake in San Franc...”

Earthquake Prediction and More Doubts

The moment he does his show, he tells her that tomorrow there will be an earthquake in San Francisco. Lenny freaks out and says, "What the hell is this guy saying?" She walks off, shaking her head. The next day, she goes to work, still unsure what to believe. Then, during the news briefing, an alert pops up that an earthquake actually did hit San Francisco. Everyone in the office is shocked, and Lenny just stands there, completely stunned.

---

A Series of Strange Predictions

That night, she goes home and starts writing down all of Jack’s predictions to see how many come true. One by one, things start happening just like he said. The guy who seemed homeless and a little crazy suddenly becomes a mystery she can’t ignore. She visits him again, this time with more respect, and starts asking him more questions about what else he sees.

---

Turning to Jack for Help

Jack tells her that his visions are like flashes—random and unplanned. He can’t control them, and sometimes they come in his dreams. Lenny wants to understand more, hoping maybe he can tell her how to avoid her supposed death. But Jack says it doesn’t work that way. "What I see, I see," he tells her.

---

Confronting Her Fears

Feeling the pressure build, Lenny starts to reevaluate her whole life. She reconnects with her dad, spends more time with her sister Gwen, and starts thinking about what really matters. She even calls her boyfriend again, hoping for some emotional support, but he’s still distant, uninterested.

---

A New Approach to Life

With only days left until the predicted date of her death, Lenny throws away her strict routines. She eats cake, skips the gym, even goes on a spontaneous trip with Andrea. For once, she starts living. She begins to laugh more, let loose, and do things just because they feel right, not because they fit into a schedule.

---

The Day Arrives

Then comes Thursday. The dreaded day. Lenny wakes up terrified but pretending she’s calm. She goes through the day like it’s normal, but everything feels off. She keeps expecting something horrible to happen—a crash, a fire, a heart attack. But nothing comes. The day ends, and Lenny is still alive.

---

A Final Revelation

The next morning, she rushes back to Jack and asks, “You said I’d die Thursday. It’s Friday. I’m still here.” Jack looks at her with a calm smile and says, “Maybe you did die, but not the way you think. Maybe the old you—the one obsessed with perfection and control—died. And this new you was born.”

---

Living Beyond the Prediction

Lenny finally gets it. She’s changed. And maybe that was the point all along. Jack never claimed to know everything. He just shared what he saw. But it pushed Lenny to really look at herself and change the course of her life.

She walks away from Jack that day with a smile on her face, a fresh perspective, and a heart wide open to whatever comes next. Whether the future is written or not, she’s ready for it.
